On August 24 The Body will not meet at our regularly scheduled time.
Instead we will enjoy a special presentation by Ken Medema , nationally known worship leader and hymn writer, who will be leading TLUMC's Tent Revival beginning on Saturday, 8/23.
Come out for this special Sunday night when Ken will be sharing his incredible gift of songwriting and leading us in a celebration of our church! |

(The Apostle Paul in Romans 12:5, The Message translation of the Bible) "We are the body, the body of Christ.
We come together to celebrate life."
(from "We Are the Body" written by our own Going Public) Many of us long to be part of something greater than ourselves. We're tired of trying to make it on our own. The Bible offers us the opportunity to be part of something great - the Body of Christ - and promises that we will find our meaning and function as we connect more and more with this Body. We were designed to come together. Sunday evenings at 5:00, Tri-Lakes United Methodist Church offers an opportunity to worship, to celebrate life, to connect with others. It's not church the way you may have experienced church in the past. No pipe organ here. No flashy light show either. Just a gathering of people who are striving to live life more like Jesus wants us to. None of us are experts. We are all just fellow sojourners along the way. And we think walking side-by-side, and sometimes hand-in-hand, is the best way to travel. This is church for us. You are invited to join us on a journey.
You are invited to be part of The Body.
Join us. We know that you will be glad you did! One Sunday night there was a video clip of stand-up comedy by Brian Regan, a bit of a motorcycle rider training video, and a song originally recorded by Peter Gabriel. Another Sunday a “brook” was in the worship space when we arrived, and we watched part of a VeggieTales episode. We've played with Play-Do, put oil on one another, and more.
